This month, Hennepin County released its latest designs for the reconstruction of Lyndale Avenue South and is asking for feedback. The county’s Orange design option takes exciting steps toward the Livable Lyndale vision we’ve advocated for—but its current bikeway design at 28th Street is dangerous and the two-block bus lanes proposed aren’t enough to make transit trips quick and convenient.
Please voice your support for the “Orange” design option on Lyndale and push Hennepin County to:
- extend the two-way, curb-level bike lanes on one side of the street the full length of the project corridor
- add dedicated, all-day bus lanes the full length of the project corridor
- ensure Lyndale is safe, enjoyable, and accessible for people walking and rolling!
Speak up now to support the Orange option and demand critical improvements to ensure this once-in-a-generation reconstruction creates a Lyndale Avenue where it’s easy to bus, bike, walk, and roll for people of all ages and abilities.
